Projects and the preview
A project is one site. It has its own pages, look and address, and your workspace can hold as many as you need. Projects live in Tabulae.
The preview
The preview beside the chat is the site, built the same way it will be built when you publish. What you see there is what visitors get, so check your work in the preview, not by publishing.
Use the preview the way a visitor would: click through the menu, try the forms, and switch between light and dark with the toggle in the corner.
Layouts
A project’s layout comes from its template:
- Sidebar: a menu down the left side, for documentation and larger sites.
- Portal: a menu across the top and centered pages, for a business site.
- Hybrid: a top menu of sections, each with its own side menu.
- Timeline: a single timeline page.
There is no layout switch in the screens; ask Optio to change it.
Look and feel
Ask Optio for the colors, fonts and style you want, and it sets the project’s theme. Visitors can switch between light and dark; Settings → Appearance sets which one a preview starts in.
Comments
You can comment on a page in the preview, and ask Optio to act on the comments.
History
Every change is saved as it happens, with a full history. If something goes wrong, ask Optio to put a page back the way it was.
Deleting a project
Deleting a project also takes its published site offline. Files you uploaded are kept in Chartae.
