Getting started
Sign up
Go to tabulakit.com and choose a plan: the free trial, Standard or Pro. The trial lasts 10 days and gives you everything in Pro. It needs a card, and nothing is charged until it ends; on the last day it becomes Standard unless you cancel.
During sign-up you:
- Create a sign-in with your email. A confirmation code arrives by email.
- Pick your workspace address, which becomes
<name>.tabulakit.app. It can use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and the page tells you as you type whether it is free. - Agree to the terms and pay in the form on the same page.
If you started signing up and didn’t finish, use Finish or recover a signup on the sign-up page with the same email.
Your workspace is set up for you
After payment you land on a page that sets up your workspace, usually in under a minute, then takes you into it. If setup stops partway, the page says where, offers Try again, and gives you a reference to quote to support. Your payment is safe either way.
Find your way around
The rail on the left holds the parts of your workspace:

The Latin names and the plain ones mean the same thing; Optio understands “my tasks” as well as “Curae”.
Make your first project
- Choose New project on the Dashboard.
- Pick a template. Every project starts from one: a website, a documentation site, a timeline and more.
- Some templates ask a few questions first so Optio can set the project up for you; the button says Create and set up with Optio when they do.
The project opens with its preview beside the chat. The preview is your site exactly as visitors will see it, so you never need to publish just to check your work.
Ask for changes
Type what you want into the chat and press Enter: “Add a page about our services”, “Make the home page shorter”, “Use our logo from Chartae”. Optio makes the change and the preview updates. See Optio for more.
When it looks right, publish it.
