Optio
Optio is the assistant in your workspace. It builds and changes your projects, and keeps your tasks and notes, from what you tell it in plain language. It runs on Claude, inside TabulaKit’s own cloud account; your content isn’t kept by the AI provider and isn’t used to train AI models.
Talking to Optio
Type in the chat box and press Enter to send; Shift+Enter starts a new line. You can attach files to a message, up to 10 at a time.
Be specific about the result you want rather than how to get it. “Add a contact form that asks for name, email and message” works better than describing the code.
Optio can:
- write and edit your pages, change a site’s layout and theme, and set who can see it,
- build forms that save every reply, and work with spreadsheets and documents,
- create and update tasks in Curae and notes in Notae,
- act on comments you leave on a page,
- restore an earlier version of anything it changed.
Optio can’t add or remove people from your account. That is done in Settings; see People, seats and sharing.
Conversations
New chat starts a fresh conversation, and History lists your past ones. Long conversations can carry on into a new one automatically; the switch for that is in Settings → Optio.
Ink
Optio’s work is paid for in ink. Your plan fills your inkwell each month, and the ink control in the chat shows what this conversation and the last reply used.
You can choose how much effort Optio puts into a reply. A lighter choice uses less ink; a heavier one uses more and is better at hard work. A choice your plan doesn’t include is grayed out.
When ink runs low, the workspace warns you. If it runs out, Optio stops taking new work until you add ink or your plan refills it on the 1st of the month. Anything already running finishes, and your published sites stay up. See Plans, ink and billing for buying more.
